| The
vineyards are in close proximity to the winery and part of
the Laona region.
Laona
is within one of the four viticulture regions that have now
acquired the right to produce wines bearing the WCAO (Wines
of Controlled Appellation of Origin) label.
The
vineyards' altitudes range from 850m to 1000m above sea level
and grape varieties include Mataro, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay,
Merlot (foreign variety) and Maratheftiko (local variety).
The
growing of grapes is the foundation of the quality of wine.
As a result, the Argyrides family utilizes planting and cultivation
techniques to produce the finest fruit.
Harvests
are programmed according to the optimum degree of maturity
of each variety and grapes are selectively hand-picked and
promptly delivered to the winery. |
